A Day at the Beach
We recently went on a southeast coast trip, and one of our stops was Charleston, South Carolina. We had heard about the lovely beach town of Sullivan’s Island and decided to leave the city for a day to explore. Sullivan’s Island did not disappoint! With beach access every block, local restaurants, and a laid-back vibe, we wished we had more time there! However, we went on a beautiful day and still managed to catch some rays.
One of the most important things about having a successful beach day is being prepared. There’s nothing worse than being hot, thirsty, and sunburned on the beach when it should be a time to relax and have fun. That’s why I thought I would round up my essentials for a day at the beach today! As a bonus, they are all affordable options under $50!
Beach Day Essentials Under $50
I chose each item based on affordability and practicality- two things that go hand-in-hand in my book! Check out the list below!
Sunscreen for body- Sun Bum Original (I use SPF 30, but also comes in SPF 15, 50, and 70)
Sunscreen lip balm- Hawaiian Tropic
Hat- Pom Pom Straw Hat
UV Sunglasses- Nicole by Nicole Miller
Cover up- Flowy Kimono (Similar to mine!)
Towel- Palm Print Towel
Reusable water bottle- Camelbak
Beach bag- Straw Tote
Beach cooler- Igloo Ice Cube Roller Cooler (60-Quart, Ocean Blue)
Flip flops- Rainbow Sandals (They are the best! I’m wearing them in the photos)
Detangler for hair- Paul Mitchell Lite Detangler
That rounds out my list! I love beach days especially when I’m prepared. What are your beach day essentials? Do we have any essentials in common? I’d love to know in the comments below!
